New author: Daniel Yates
We are delighted to share some exciting news with you:
We have recently welcomed Daniel Yates to our publishing list, and we’ll be releasing his new book, The Starry Lock. Theology, Symbol, and Self-Overcoming in Andrew Chumbley’s Qutub, early next year.
In The Starry Lock, Yates casts a contemplative and initiatory eye upon Qutub, the liminal poem by Andrew Chumbley. What first appears as a beautiful poem with its accompanying commentary is revealed as a complex spiritual journey steeped in symbolism, sacrifice, self-analysis, and transmutation. Each aspect of the work is carefully compared and contrasted with another, gradually disclosing an intricate patterns of initiatory change through which the reader is invited to pass.
